Since Urban Decay’s Friends & Family sale ends at midnight tonight, I’m offering up my top picks from the brand! If you haven’t decided about hauling, perhaps something here will catch your eye. ;) Just as a reminder, the code is FFHOLIDAY13 for 20% off everything at Urban Decay!
1. Naked Palettes
Of course, the very first thing that comes to mind when deciding the best of Urban Decay is the Naked Palettes! All of them! My favorite Naked palette is the Naked Basics. Naked Basics has 5 matte shades (and 1 semi-matte) that are perfect for creating quick easy to wear eye looks. For more variety and more drama, either the Naked or Naked 2 palettes are both tremendous value and fantastic quality. Naked Basics also makes a great companion to either one of its predecessors.
2. Naked Skin Foundation
The word obsessed comes to mind when I describe this foundation. It’s perfectly blendable and skin-like, and there’s a wide variety of shades. They’re fairly forgiving shades, too. I can wear shade .5 (perfect match!), but I can also wear 1.0 in a pinch (which is really about the same shade but with a slightly yellower tone).
3. De-Slick Powder
I don’t use this particular product anymore because my skin is really dry now, but when I had oilier skin this was a godsend. It’s mattifying but extremely light weight. The compact is also super cute! It’s perfect to slip in your purse and fend off shine throughout the day.
4. 24/7 Lip Liner in Ozone
If you wear products like OCC Lip Tars or other highly pigmented liquids, a clear lip liner is vital to keeping your color where you want it. Ozone is a great choice!
5. Grind House Pencil Sharpener
This dual sharpener fits small and large pencils and is one of the best sharpeners I’ve ever used, even for soft eyeliners. I don’t use anything else!
6. Primer Potion (Original)
This cult status product is a must-have for oily eyelids. Period.
7. 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil
Another must-have, these pencils go on smooth and brilliant in color. And what a range of colors! Pictured here is Perversion, the blackest of matte blacks. These last for ages, too. For especially long wear, go over them with a corresponding shade of Urban Decay shadow.
8. 24/7 Shadow Pencil
These chubby shadow pencils are a godsend for days when you’re in a hurry. Just scribble them on and you are good to go out the door. They last all day, even without primer for me (if you have especially oily lids you may still need the primer).
9. Eye Shadow
The palettes from UD are so awesome that sometimes I think the single shadows don’t get as much love! I adore the shade X, which is a peachy gold pink that also looks nice as a highlighter (similar to MAC Melon pigment). Another really pretty one is Roach! And if you like brightly colored shadows, there are plenty of those to choose from, too.
