This is what I wore on my face today. Well, you won’t be reading it the day I wore it, but this is what I wore to work on 11/26. :) I work in a chic business casual office and just wanted enough color to perk up my face and look polished. Read on to see what I used…
Face/Skin…
I didn’t do a whole lot really, as you can see by my freckles peeking through. ;) I just used some Maybelline Instant Rewind Dark Circle Eraser thingy (longest name evar) in Brightener and applied some MAC Studio Fix powder in N3.
Eyes…
First I prepped my eyes with Make Up For Ever Eye Prime and filled my brows in with Revlon Brow Fantasy in Dark Brown. This product photographs SO oddly. I swear my brows were all one color in real life, but in these photos it just looks odd as hell. I used the UD Naked Palette and applied the shade Virgin all over my eyes, then used the shade Toasted lightly in the crease. It isn’t a very bright color but it’s warmer than my natural skin tone and warms up my eye area a lot. Then I took an angled brush and dipped it into the dark brown color called Hustle (LOVE) and tightlined with it. I finished off the eyes with Clinique High Impact mascara in black.
Cheeks…
Just a generous dose of Benefit Dandelion. I like this blush since it just brightens up your cheeks without looking like anything on. It’s very subtle. And it smells pretty. lol… I’m easy to please at 7 in the morning ok?
Lips…
First I prepped with LUSH Honey Trap lip balm (which my cat likes to sniff – I knew you’d like to know that) and then applied Chanel Sundress glossimer. I love this gloss so much.
Tip Time!
When wearing powder foundation, I use 2 brushes. I use my regular powder brush (the ELF Studio Powder Brush – the one with the flat top), and a fluffy large dome shadow brush (in this case, the Stila #5). I use the shadow brush to apply the powder to hard to reach areas (nose corners, around brows) so that I can still buff the foundation/powder in without disturbing what’s around it or adding more coverage to areas that don’t need it. It’s also a brilliant way of cleaning up your eye makeup if you ever need to. ;)
Here’s a visual breakdown of all the products I used, using the spiffy new tool from Beautysets. Do you like these? If so, pin it! I had fun playing with it.
ahhh so youthful and pretty!!!!
You are just gorgeous and you have perfect skin!
