I’m super excited for this collection. MAC Cremesheens are available now online, and Thursday in stores/counters. Cremesheen is a new formula of lipstick intended to eventually replace Amplified Creme. It’s a high-pigment creamy formula just like the Amplifieds, but Cremesheen is said to be a bit lighter with a little more shine. Sounds perfect! The best thing about Cremesheens is they are not limited edition. Holy crap…something from MAC that is not limited edition? WOW!
You can find some great Cremesheen swatches over at Karla Sugar’s blog. I also saw some really nice ones on the mac_cosmetics Livejournal community, but since that community is supposed to be private I won’t link to it. Specktra.net also has some swatches if you are interested. I will take pictures as soon as I have some Cremesheens of my own, too! Which hopefully will be soon. ;)
The colors & color descriptions:
Creme D’Nude – pale muted peach beige
Dare You – deep brown red
Brave Red – bright yellow red
Hang Up – deep berry
Crosswires – clean pinky orange
Fanfare – midtone yellow pink
Speed Dial – light blue pink
Modesty – muted neutral pink
On Hold – midtone yellow raspberry
Party Line – red tone plum
Hot Gossip – midtone pinky plum
Ravishing – clean light pinky coral
Speak Louder – clean poppy blue pink
Stay In Touch – light yellow brown
And for no apparent reason there’s one random nail polish in this collection, a creamy peachy pink called Seasonal Peach. Seasonal Peach is limited edition, but to me the color doesn’t look that special. I have seen the same thing from Milani for about $3 (vs MAC’s $11) and I haven’t heard good things about MAC’s polishes.
