Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

I know a lot of you are probably  like “Mother’s Day? ALREADY?!” but it’s on my mind because my mom has been on my mind a lot lately. About a week ago we had to say goodbye to one of our dearly beloved family pets, Silver the cat. He lived a very long happy life to the ripe old age of 16, but he was quite ill and we had to make a painful decision. Mom has taken it very hard as she and Silver had a special bond and spent a lot of time together. Sooo it’s gotten me thinking a lot about my mom and then logically, Mother’s Day.

With that in mind, here are some things I think would be great Mother’s Day gifts! Starting at the top left…

Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector ($84 / 1 oz) – Helps repair wrinkles and a variety of other skin damages like sun damage, acne marks, etc. This looks so cool. In fact, it’s going on MY wishlist too.

Lavender Clarisonic Mia ($119) – Do I even need to explain? The Clarisonic brush delivers deep cleansing unlike anything I’ve ever tried. I adore mine. The Mia comes in a lot of colors, but I picked lavender because it’s the one I know my mom would pick.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple ($10 / 3 oz) – I love love love this gentle cleanser. It powers through makeup like a champ and leaves my face feeling super clean. A little bit goes a long way so the $10 mini size is just fine. This cleanser also works great when used with the Clarisonic.

Philosophy Hope Springs Eternal ($20 / 5 oz) – This refreshing mist adds an extra kick of moisture to the skin. Great for when your skin is looking a little…sleepy. ;)

Laura Mercier Stick Gloss ($22) – These lipsticks go on so smooth. The colors aren’t too out there or in your face, and the shine is picture-perfect. My mom isn’t a huge fan of sticky gloss; a glossy lipstick is perfect for someone like her. I highly recommend the shade Brown Sugar.

Butter London Nail Lacquer in Yummy Mummy ($14) – What better way to tell your ‘mummy’ you love her than this beautiful polish? It’s a nude shade with subtle shimmer – way posh.

Marc Jacobs Fragrance Rollerball Trio ($38) – This is such an awesome set I almost want it for myself. The trio comes with rollerball sizes of Daisy, Daisy Eau So Fresh and Lola. The value is tremendous here too. Most rollerballs cost about $20 each. If your mom loves fragrance this should definitely be on your list of things to try out.

Senna Cosmetics Sheer Face Color in Tres Jolie ($18.50) – I love these blushes from Senna. They’re so soft and pigmented. The Tres Jolie color is a beautiful pink that will look good on just about anyone unless you have very deep skin. If you’re quite dark I would suggest Poppy – it will look amazing on darker skin tones.
