Review – E.L.F. Mineral Booster

Today’s review is Eyes Lips Face’ Mineral Booster. This loose mineral powder can be used under or over foundation. I’ve tried it both ways. It’s a very (very) sheerly tinted loose mineral powder with healthy ingredients for your skin. Note, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wash it off. Just like with any makeup, you need to wash it off before bed. :)

What lead me to trying the mineral booster was the ingredients. As listed on the packaging:

Ingredients: Corn (Zea Mays) Starch, Zinc Stearate, Magnesium Stearate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Tocopheryl Acetate (Ve Acetate), Retinyl Palmitate (Va Palmitate), Panthenol (Vb5), Iron Oxides (CI77491 CI77492 CI77499).

Corn starch is anti-inflammatory, which is always nice. Zinc Stearate helps treat conditions like acne, eczema, etc. so I thought it would be helpful as well. The powder also contains vitamins A, E, and B. Cool!

So far I’ve noticed no ill effects from the powder. No crazy breakouts or anything of that nature. It’s a nice complexion-evening effect, kinda like tinted moisturizer is to liquid foundation. This is the “TM” of powders. It also adds a bit of soft-focus effect, if used over foundation. It’s a nice addition to my foundation routine! I like it. :)

Mineral Booster comes in a small (.18 oz) jar for $5 or large (.63 oz) jar for $8 and is available at eyelipsface.com. For in-store locations see their website’s store locator.
