Dermadoctor Litmus Test

All of the lengths we go to when taking care of our skin are basically striving for one thing: healthy balanced skin. We want it to be not too oily, not too dry, smooth and clear.

As someone who has combo skin, sometimes this is a struggle! Products that moisturize give too much moisture where it’s not needed, and vice versa. Sometimes I spot treat the drier areas with a more intense moisturizer, but it’s a pain, and then sometimes I get added insult to injury– a breakout from heavy moisturizers. Whoops! That is not the goal. :\

So when I read the product description for Dermadoctor’s Litmus Test moisturizer, I was immediately intrigued. Dr. Kunin, the mastermind behind Dermadoctor, describes it:

Litmus Test is designed to actively restore balance and hydration in response to the challenges wrought by hormonal fluctuations, environmental stressors, and aging skin physiology.

Litmus Test is chock full of yummy-for-your-skin ingredients including glycolic acid (promotes cell turnover/chemical exfoliator) and hyaluronic acid (holds 1000x its weight in water for maximum hydration). The result is a moisturizing product that really does what it says– balances out your skin.

This moisturizer never leaves me feeling greasy, absorbs quickly, and moisturizes the areas that really need it. It also wears great under makeup, so it’s good for daytime too. It’s packaged in a cute airless pump that looks (to me) like a test tube:

The pump itself works great. It dispenses just enough product for each use, and you really do not need to use much at all. What I’ve noticed with hyaluronic acid products is you only need a tiny bit to moisturize the skin. If you use a whole bunch of it, you’ll overdo it, I promise!

Most of the time when it comes to beauty products I feel you don’t need to spend extra money to get great results. However, Dermadoctor is a fabulous line and totally worth the extra cost. This particular product retails for a steep $52, but since it’s being debuted on QVC it’s available for a reduced introductory price of $47.28. If you’re in the market for a new moisturizer and willing to spend a bit extra to get great results, definitely check out Litmus Test.

I received this product as part of the Dermadoctor “Party Pack” that was given away to several Twitter followers to promote Dermadoctor’s QVC launch.

Free Shipping Event at DERMAdoctor

Hey all,

DERMAdoctor is having a really cool free shipping event where you get free 2nd-day air shipping on an order of $49 or more. :)

What do they have at DERMAdoctor? Skincare of course!

Besides their own brand (which is totally cute), they also carry yummy stuff like Bliss, BeautyBlender, Clarisonic, Murad, Kinerase, Talika, and PTR. There are a ton of brands to choose from including some drugstore faves like CerAve, Cetaphil, Aveeno, etc. For beautiful smiles, they also carry Supersmile, GoSmile, and BriteSmile! I love Supersmile toothpaste. It’s the most gentle teeth whitening system I’ve ever used. I have really sensitive teefers! D:

In addition to having a lot of really great products, I really appreciate the fact that DERMAdoctor ships with earth-friendly packing materials. So often when I order something online the absurd packaging is very wasteful. I make every effort to recycle as much of it as I can, but it’s really great to see a company taking that extra step.
