Urban Decay Summer 2011

Urban Decay has some really hot new goodies for summer that have me really excited. I already was really excited for summer UD goodness after seeing the Rollergirl palette on Temptalia. Now I’m even more pumped for UD summer! As we know by previous releases this year, this is Urban Decay’s 15th anniversary year! And the next special anniversary release does not disappoint.

Meet the QuinceaƱera bag! Hot isn’t she? Retail – $26, available at Beauty.com, Sephora, Ulta, and Macy’s. This adorable purple glittery bag is vinyl so you can wipe it down if you have a spill, and has a clear pocket inside. The lining features the special UD 15th Anniversary logo, which I think is really posh. This bag is going on my must-have list for sure, as purple is my favorite color and who doesn’t need a little more glitter in her life?
The Urban Defense tinted moisturizer is not a new product, but after listening to consumer feedback it has been repackaged and re-launched. The new packaging is in a handy squeeze tube. Also worth noting is you now get more product for less cost (suggested retail is $30). Nice! There are only four shades, but as this is sheer it should be pretty forgiving of skin tones. I have not been able to play with this in person to see if the palest shade, Halo, would be light enough for the likes of me yet though. As before, available at Beauty.comSephoraUlta, and Macy’s
Okay how AWESOME is this collection?! This is the Rollergirl Nail Kit ($28, available at Macy’s and Urban Decay) features 6 gorgeous summer shades of (three-free) polish. I don’t know about you but these colors are right up my alley. The collection includes:
  • Fame – Champagne shimmer
  • Love Train – Opalescent shimmer
  • Miss T – Bright orchid fuchsia (by the way, this is named after a friend of the UD creator – how sweet!)
  • Superfreak – Gold shimmer base w/ gold microglitter
  • Woodstock – Hot pink
  • Xanadu – Sheer purple base with purple glitter
I know I’ll want to try out this product. I’m kind of obsessed with trying all the latest makeup removers, because even when I find one that is amazing I always want to try more! What if there’s one better?! Meltdown Makeup Remover is a creamy gel consistency formulated with powerful but gentle ingredients to take off even the toughest to remove makeup while being easy on your skin and lashes. This makeup remover is also a multi-tasker! This baby also contains good-for-your-skin ingredients such as beta carotene (reduces wrinkles), anti-inflammatory sea whip extract, kuikui nut oil (humectant to help skin retain moisture), and oat oil (encourages collagen production) and cranberry & raspberry oils (packed with antioxidants!) to help protect your skin against free radical damage. Wow! Urban Decay also promises this will leave your skin refreshed with no greasy residue. Retail is $24 and available at  Beauty.comSephoraUlta, and Macy’s
Man! Urban Decay is churning out the awesome products for this season aren’t they? Introducing the Lip Love Honey-Infused Lip Therapy, available in five shades. Each shade imparts a sheer wash of color while conditioning your lips with non-greasy oils. The texture is a cushiony, glide-y (getting very technical here), non-sticky treat for your lips. Honey is anti-microbial as well as a humectant, and lips love it. Each is lightly honey scented as well. Yummy. The five shades are:
  • Failbait – sheer coral (this one’s the one I’m after!)
  • Taunt – sheer nude
  • Lolita – sheer bright pink
  • Stung – sheer blackberry
  • Drizzle – sheer baby pink
Retail on these is $16 and they are available at Beauty.comSephoraUlta, and Macy’s
I think Urban Decay has really stepped up the look of their packaging in recent launches. This looks edgy while still being classy, and I really like all of the purple of course! What are you excited about from this collection?
