Okay, someone told me about this great cheap alternative to expensive makeup remover wipes. And you’ll be shocked to find out how great they are! I’m talking about Wet Ones Sensitive Skin Hands & Face Wipes. They are marketed as “extra gentle”. They are also fragrance free and alcohol free, as well as non-sticky! Featured ingredients are cucumber and chamomile. Sounds super, right? RIGHT!
I wore a heavy smokey eye (I used the purple shade from NYX’s Lake Moss trio) today, and used one of these wipes to remove it. No problem. Eyeshadow? Gone. Mascara? No problem. It was not waterproof mascara, but it was mark. Make It Big, which is pretty darn budge-proof.
These wipes are with the napkins in the store, and cost $2.99 @ CVS for 40 wipes. I’m sure they have them at the supermarket, other drugstores, etc. Compare that to $17.00 at MAC for 45 wipes. The Wet Ones work out to about 8 cents a wipe. The MAC? About 38 cents a wipe.
