Whew! MAC update time is the best time of year, because then all of the fun information about upcoming MAC collections comes out. :)
Feb 2011
MAC Future Face brings us a new product, and new shades! The new product is Studio Careblend Pressed Powder. This is a sheer to medium coverage pressed powder that is said to have “caring, comforting properties”. It is designed to give you a flawless, even skin tone. This pressed powder does not go by the NC/NW system; it is on the same shade range as MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural. I don’t yet know if the shades are completely the same, but they have the same names. I’m hopeful, because MSF matches me just fine. I was disappointed that Pro Longwear Foundation/Concealer do not have a match for me.
With this collection we will also see some new shades (all NW) added to Studio Fix Fluid and Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 (which by the way is such an underrated product!) and promotion of the core brushes 190 and 150.
Speaking of foundation, it is unknown when exactly at this time (rumored to be this month), but MAC will also be relaunching Mineralize Foundation SPF 15 in a collection called Finally Flawless. I guess I can still hold out hope for something paler than NW15. ;) If you are a bit paler than NW15, there isn’t much liquid-wise that will match you at MAC.
February is also when MAC will launch its next Asia-Exclusive collection, Lightfully Bright. It includes the usual whitening skincare as well as a few lipglasses, and introduces a new moisturizer with SPF 30 that sounds really nice. I wish we were getting it here!
March 2011
March is a big month with 3 awesome collections coming out. One that is already getting a lot of buzz is MAC Jeanius, which launches March 3rd.
This collection features four special eye shadows that are made to look like denim. They look really cool and if they’re halfway decent I’m sure they’ll fly off shelves. I’m super excited for the lip and nail products, as they look right up my alley.
